Obituary for William 'Billy' A. Pruitt
William A. ‘Billy’ Pruitt, 61, of Lake Secession Community, died Monday, January 2, 2023 at his home. He was born in Abbeville to Betty Bradberry Pruitt and the late Harold A. Pruitt.
Billy was a 1979 graduate of Dixie High School and 1987 graduate of Erskine College. An accomplished musician, he appreciated all genres of music. Billy enjoyed life and lived it to the fullest.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a sister, Kathy P. Wilson; step-father, William C. ‘Bill’ Prince, Jr.; and uncle, John M. Prince.
Billy is survived by his mother, Betty Pruitt, of Iva; loving caregivers, Tabitha Lollis, Samantha Vaughn, Sonya Lindley and Junebug Ashley; and numerous family and friends.
A funeral service will be 2:00PM, Wednesday, January 4, 2023, in Harris Funeral Home, Abbeville Chapel. The family will greet friends and relatives following the service.
