Terry G. Simpson, better known as ‘Pistol-Ball’, 67, of the Level Land Community, died Friday, June 4. 2021 at his residence. He was born in Abbeville County to Eleanor Alewine Holmes and the late Terry D. Simpson.

Pistol-Ball was a 1971 graduate of Dixie High School and attended Mission Baptist Church. He could operate any piece of heavy equipment. Many roads across Abbeville County were more than likely graded by Pistol-Ball.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a sister, Sherry Simpson and two brothers, Danny Simpson and Tony Holmes.

Pistol-Ball is survived by his mother Eleanor of Calhoun Falls, SC; a brother, Brian Holmes (Danya) of Gilbert, SC; a nephew, Devon Holmes of Greenwood, SC and a host of extended family and friends.

Graveside services will be 11:00AM Tuesday, June 8, 2021, in the Little River Baptist Church Cemetery with Pastor Adam Lindsley officiating. The family will receive friends following the graveside at Mission Baptist Church.

Memorial contributions, in memory of Pistol-Ball, may be sent to the Mission Baptist Church, 4448 Hwy 201, Iva, SC 29655.
