Obituary for Sarah Etruelia Kimsey (Wiles)
Sarah Etruelia Kimsey, 83, of Abbeville, wife of the late Julius Kimsey, Jr., died Sunday, January 30, 2022, at her home. She was born in Iva to the late James and Mary Hayes Wiles.
A faithful member of New Life Worship Center, she enjoyed being involved in all activities of her church. A devoted homemaker, she will be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great grandmother.
In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Kimsey was preceded in death by a son, Dennis Kimsey; two brothers, Samuel Wiles and J. H. Wiles; three sisters, Georgia Ware, Doris Moss and Mary Ruth Rice; and two grandchildren, Amanda McCall and James Dennis Kimsey.
She is survived by a daughter, Donna Hozey of Calhoun Falls; four grandchildren, Jessica Scott (Brandon), Rebecca Maness (B.J.), Sarah Wickham (Mark) and Elijah Hozey (Andrea); twelve great-grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren.
The family extends their heartfelt thanks to Mrs. Kimsey’s hospice nurse, Virginia McCord, Agape Care Chaplain, Rick Hendricks and Andrew J. Phelps, who assisted with the care of his great-grandmother.
Graveside services will be 2:00PM, Thursday, February 3, 2022, in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends following the graveside service.
