Obituary for Sandra Z. Longshore (Zellers)

Sandra Z. Longshore, 83, of the Savannah Lakes Community, wife of Donald J. Longshore, died Tuesday, April 25, 2023, at her residence. She was born February 16, 1940 to the late Gaylord and Margaret Shockley Zellers.

A graduate of Columbiana High School, Class of 1958, Sandy retired as a book keeper from the PNC Bank in Ohio. She was born and raised in Columbiana, OH where she met, Don, the love of her life. They built a beautiful life there, raising two daughters, many dogs and working on their dreams. Before moving to SC, Sandy was a long time volunteer at AID in Salem, helping community members and a member of the Salem Golf Club. After retiring and moving to SC, she joined many groups and continued her love of art, golf, singing in the church choir and participating in many social groups with new friends that soon became old friends. Sandy was blessed to pursue her faith with the McCormick First Baptist church family. She enjoyed travel, visiting friends and family, challenging crossword puzzles and loved spending time with good books. Her warm smile and kind heart made her a friend of many.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her two sisters, Joan Rodgers and Kathi Johnson.

Sandy is survived by her husband of 63 years, Donald, of the home; two daughters, Debra Souder (Tim) of Columbiana, OH and Kathi Harris (Randy) of Mill Valley, CA; brother, Ronald Zellers of Salem, OH; sister, Gayle Rugh of Columbiana, OH; four grandchildren, Ashley (Adam) Booth, Mariah Souder, Vance and Troy Harris; great-grandchildren, Annabelle and Roman Booth; along with many beloved nieces and nephews.
