Obituary for Marie J. Land (Charping)
Marie J. Land, 71, of Calhoun Falls, wife of Lonnie Land, died Saturday, April 15, 2023 at her home. She was born in Abbeville County to the late Joseph A. and Ida Jeanette Billings Charping.
Mrs. Land adored her family and enjoyed spending time with them.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Joe Gary Charping and Ray Charping: two sisters, Louise McBride and Martha Lewis.
Mrs. Land is survived by her husband of 53 years, Lonnie, of the home; two children, Michelle Green (Roger) and Belinda Land of Calhoun Falls; a brother, Marshall Charping of Bowman, GA and a sister, Faye Johnson of Elberton, GA.
Graveside services will be 11:00AM Tuesday, April 18, 2023, in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens.
