Madge Link Adams, 96, of Abbeville, wife of the late Aubrey Lee Adams, died Tuesday, February 28, 2023, at the home of her niece. She was born in Abbeville to the late George E. and Mattie Lou Pursley Link.
Mrs. Adams held a variety of jobs throughout her life. She was employed with McClellan’s Dime Store, the former Abbeville Shirt Plant, Abbeville Mills, and retired as a cosmetologist. Mrs. Adams was a member of Rice Memorial Baptist Church and the Open Door Sunday School class.
In addition to her husband of 74 years, Aubrey, and her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Rayford Link, George Link and William ‘Bill’ Link and three sisters, Ovelle Price, Grace Davis and Jean Jones
Mrs. Adams is survived by many nieces and nephews, including two nieces who were reared in the home, Ruth Hill (Pat) and Hazel Barnett.
The family will greet friends and family from 12:00PM – 1:00PM, Thursday, March 2, 2023, at Harris Funeral Home. Funeral services will begin at 1:00PM on Thursday following the visitation in the funeral home chapel. A private burial will be held in Greenwood Memorial Gardens.
