Lewis J. ‘Buddy’ McCarley, 69, of Pageland, SC, died Tuesday, March 23, 2021 at his home. He was born in Abbeville, SC to the late Lewis Boyd ‘Mac’ McCarley and Lora Ann Croft McCarley.

Buddy retired from Hydro Aluminum Wells in Belton as a truck driver after many years of dedicated service. He later owned and operated a log trucking business. Buddy will be dearly missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Joan M. Page and a brother, Jerry Jernigan.

Buddy is survived by his daughters, Lisa Rodriguez of Pageland, SC, Tracy McCarley of Easley, SC, Shannon Beauford (Jamie) of Abbeville, SC, Jennifer Bell (Paul) of Pageland, SC, and Jolee Beth Busbee of Abbeville, SC; a son, Corey McCarley, of Calhoun Falls, SC; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

A service to celebrate Buddy’s life will be Saturday, March 27, 2021 in the Harris Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jeremy Beauford officiating.
