Obituary for Julie Lynn Strawhorn
Julie Lynn Strawhorn, 62, died Wednesday, April 12, 2023 at the Abbeville Area Medical Center. She was born January 1, 1961, a special gift to her parents, James and Georgie Scott Strawhorn.
Julie loved the Lord and enjoyed singing. Her favorite saying was “I love you mama” and mama said, “I Love you too Julie”.
She was preceded in death by her father, James Strawhorn; grandparents, Elb and Nellie Strawhorn and Emmett and Evelyn Scott; loving step-father, Jim Arduengo; and aunt, Dawn Strawhorn.
Julie is survived by her loving mother, Georgie Scott Arduengo of the home; sister, Nancy McGaha of Donalds; two brothers, David (Tisa) Strawhorn of Abbeville and Jason (Tina) Strawhorn of Antreville; devoted cousin, Donna (Barry) Scott Hitt of Bradley, SC; uncle, Joe Strawhorn of Greenwood; and special friends, Mrs. Nancy Chapman, who visited and sang with Julie often and her husband, Brother Joe Chapman. The highlight of her day was a phone call from her beloved ‘Mudder’.
Funeral services will be 2:00PM, Saturday, April 15, 2023, at Harris Funeral Home, Abbeville Chapel. Burial will follow in Melrose Cemetery. The family will receive friends immediately following the graveside service.
