Obituary for John William McKee III
John Braswell McKee, 51, of Abbeville, SC, died Tuesday, August 30, 2022, at his home. He was born in Greenwood, SC to Karen Braswell.
A 1988 graduate of Garinger High School, Charlotte, NC, John was previously employed with Cardinal Health and CSX Railroad as a conductor. He enjoyed playing guitar and will be fondly remembered by his family and friends.
He is survived by his mother, Karen of Abbeville, SC; children, Gabriel McKee and Morgana McKee, both of Coronaca, SC; sister, Shannon McMahan Figueiredo (Jeff) of Matthews, NC; brother, Brian Guzman (Ashley) of Fountain Inn, SC; and his loving companion, Laci Bradley of Abbeville, SC.
A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions, in memory of John, may be sent to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
