Obituary for John Wayne 'Cowboy' Liebno
John Wayne Liebno, 68, of Due West, died Wednesday, December 7, 2022, at his home. He was born in Baltimore, MD to the late Albert L. Liebno, Sr. and Shirley Zipparn Liebno.
Affectionately known as ‘Cowboy’, John Wayne was a 1976 graduate of The Citadel and self-employed with Eldorado Enterprises, a saw mill operation. He enjoyed working in his greenhouse, gardening and had an affection for animals, especially dogs and cats.
Cowboy is survived by two brothers, Alber Liebno, Jr. (Sue) of Westminster, MD and Martin Liebno (Debbie) of Taneytown, MD; sister, Betty Liebno (Donnie) of Edgewood, MD; his special companion, Nikki Spidel, of Due West and very dear friend and employee, whom he loved like a son, Brady Strawhorn.
