Obituary for Jimmy VanDyke
Jimmy Leon VanDyke, 51, of Greenwood, husband of Deana Bell VanDyke, died Monday, February 28, 2022 at his home. He was born in Grundy, Virginia to Junior Leon and Brenda Deel VanDyke.
1988 graduate of Grundy High School in VA, Jimmy was employed in heavy construction. He enjoyed all sports and being an outdoorsman. Jimmy was especially happy when he could spend hours hunting. A friend to everyone he met, he was always helpful whenever there was a need. Jimmy was of the holiness faith.
He is survived by his wife of 19 years, Deana; his parents, Junior and Brenda VanDyke of Donalds; three brothers, Scott VanDyke (Stephanie) of Donalds, Chad VanDyke (Kathy) of Ware Shoals and Jody VanDyke (Tia) of Donalds; nephews, Justin, Jordan and Jesse VanDyke and nieces, Kenzie and Haley VanDyke; and his sidekick, Crack Kitty.
