Obituary for James Bailey Hall
James Bailey Hall, 85, of Abbeville, died Sunday, January 29, 2023, at the Hospice House in Greenwood. He was born in Elberton, GA to the late Samuel Lee Hall and Ruby Eliza Rousey Hall.
Bailey retired from Cullum Electric as a welder. Following retirement, he worked for a period of time with Gary Miller HVAC. Bailey served his community on the Board of Zoning Appeals. He was a member of Ebenezer United Methodist Church and instrumental in the construction of the new fellowship building at the church.
In addition to his parents, Bailey was preceded in death five brothers, Ervin ‘Speed’ Hall, Talmadge Hall, Leon Hall, Tate Lee Hall and Grover Dudley Hall; two sisters, Erma Lee Steele and Bernice Carroll; and two beloved dogs, J.R. and Rascal.
He is survived by his son, James ‘Jim’ Hall (Dore) of Abbeville; two adored fur babies, Peachy and Pumpkin; and numerous extended family and friends.
A service to celebrate Bailey Hall's life will be 4:00PM, Saturday, February 25, 2023, in Ebenezer United Methodist Church with Pastor Adrian D. Rogers officiating.
