Greg B. Davenport, 62, of Abbeville, husband of Sherry McNeil Davenport, died Tuesday, August 23, 2022 at AnMed Health in Anderson. He was born in Anderson to the late Harold B. and Gladys Vickery Davenport.

Greg was a 1978 graduate of Dixie High School and attended Lander and Tri-County Technical College. Employed with Greenwood Mills for many years, he retired from Electrolux after 25 years of dedicated service. Many days you could find Greg spending quality time fishing with his close friends, Ken Hoffman and Tommy Seagars. He was a proud husband, father and Poppy.

Greg is survived by his wife of 29 years Sherry, of the home; three children, Kalee Urban (Terrance), Alex Davenport and Kristin Davenport; a granddaughter, Emery Urban; and his mother-in-law, Delores McNeil.

Graveside services will be 4:00PM Friday, August 26, 2022 in Bells United Methodist Church Cemetery with Rev. Stephen Payne officiating.

The family is at the home.
