Obituary for David O'Neal Yeargin
David O’Neal Yeargin, 80, of Lowndesville, husband of Peggy Powell Yeargin, died Friday, August 5, 2022 at his home. He was born in Anderson County to the late Samuel O’Neal and Pauline Boles Yeargin.
Mr. Yeargin retired from Prysmian Cable (former Pirelli Cable) with 28 years of service. He attended Iva Church of God of Prophecy and Lowndesville Pentecostal Holiness Church.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Kimberly Dawn Yeargin and three sisters, Lucille Todd, Ada Clinkscales and Evaline Goodwin.
Mr. Yeargin is survived by his wife of 60 years, Peggy; two daughters, Sherri Hall (David) of the Nation Community and Tami Price (Jerry) of Calhoun Falls; brother, Paul Yeargin (Janet) of Lowndesville; sister, Dorothy Sanders (Charles) of Iva; three grandchildren, Clay Hall (Jennifer), Zachary Price (Vanessa) and Trevor Price (Kayla); and six great-grandchildren, Emrie Hall, Ireland Dunn, Kinley Price, Waylon Price, Eliza Price and Wyatt Price.
The family will receive friends 2:00PM - 3:30PM, Sunday, August 7, 2022, in Harris Funeral Home, Abbeville Chapel. Funeral services will begin at 4:00PM in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Stanley Campbell and Mr. Carl William Parnell officiating. Burial will follow in Smyrna Cemetery.
