David Ray ‘Scooter’ Weichmann, 26, of Abbeville, died Tuesday, January 10, 2023, as the result of an automobile accident. He was born in Abbeville to Robbie Weichmann and the late Kimberly Chapman.

Scooter, as he was affectionately known, graduated from Abbeville High School, Class of 2014. He was employed by General Construction Services of Abbeville. His family and friends, especially his two nephews, held a special place in his heart and he will be missed by all that had the pleasure of knowing him.

Scooter is survived by his dad, Robbie; brother, Daniel Weichmann (Katie); girlfriend, Sierra Ellis; two nephews, Tyler and Will all of Abbeville; and numerous extended family and friends.

A celebration of Scooter’s life will be 2:00PM, Saturday, January 21, 2023, in Harris Funeral Home, Abbeville Chapel. The family will greet friends and relatives following the service at a reception in the Livery Stable in Abbeville. Everyone is invited to share stories and memories of Scooter.
