Obituary for David Alan Littell
David Alan Littell, 83, of Abbeville, husband of Barbara Yates Littell, died Monday, December 26, 2022, at the Abbeville Area Medical Center. He was born in Indianapolis, Indiana to the late Raymond John Littell and Alberta Lucille Ransdell Littell.
A 1956 graduate of Manatee County High School in Bradenton, FL, David attended Florida Southern University. Employed as an optician with Soto’s Opticians, he retired after many years of service. David enjoyed life to the fullest. He was happy when involved in bowling, fishing and assisting with activities at the church. Musically talented, at the age of 12, he was playing the organ and piano. David was a member of Main Street United Methodist Church.
He is survived by his wife of 36 years, Barbara, of the home; two step-children, Greg Hughes and Sean Hughes, both of Abbeville.
